The following decisions were reached at the subject meeting, which was attended by all Directors, Managers and Umpires:
1. The
new shorthanded rule will be in effect with the Fall season. Managers who will be missing players must call Sonny no later than the
evening before the game to request the assignment of a reserve player..Sonny will call reserve players in sequence to determine their
availability and assign the first "yes" to the first team placing the request. No team will receive a second player until all other
requesting teams have received one player. Requests must be phoned in by six o'clock.By eight o'clock Sonny will know and advise the
availability of all reservists.
2. All managers should know their line-up the night before a game with the use of the above procedure.
There will be no lending of players on game day. If both teams have nine or if both teams have ten, the team at bat will provide a
catcher for defense only who will have made the last out in the previous inning.
3. Teams with only nine or ten players will
not be charged an out for the missing player(s).
4. Each Manager will have each player read and sign the "code of conduct" and
return it to a Director.
5. Managers will exchange line-up cards before the game.
6. The home team will always use
the first base dugout.
